The Reputation System (Fame & Titles)
Your Fame and Karma dictate how the denizens of Sosaria view you. Fame is earned by defeating powerful enemies, while Karma is determined by whether those enemies were monsters (Good Karma) or innocent players and NPCs (Bad Karma).
While classic Sosaria capped your reputation progression at the rank of Lord or Lady, the Age of Sosaria introduces a new prestige tier for only the most dedicated champions and terrifying villains: The Overlord.
👑 The Overlord Tier (20,000+ Fame)
Achieving the rank of Lord or Lady is an incredible feat on its own, traditionally requiring 10,000 Fame. However, those who continue their onslaught against the most terrifying creatures in the realm and manage to amass 20,000 Fame will be granted an exclusive, custom title tier.
- Male Characters: Overlord
- Female Characters: Overlady
How It Displays
Once unlocked, this title will take priority. Your name will be permanently prefixed with this prestige title both on your Paperdoll and in your overhead name label in the game world!
(Example: Overlord Aric the Glorious)
WARNING
Fame is fragile! If you are slain in combat, you will lose a percentage of your total Fame. If your Fame drops below 20,000, your Overlord title will be instantly revoked and you will be demoted back to Lord/Lady until you earn it back.
📈 The Fame Progression Path
If you are working your way up to Overlord, here are the milestones you will hit along the way as you gain Fame from combat:
- 0 - 1,249 Fame: (No Title)
- 1,250 - 2,499 Fame: The Notable
- 2,500 - 4,999 Fame: The Prominent
- 5,000 - 9,999 Fame: The Renowned
- 10,000 - 19,999 Fame: Lord / Lady
- 20,000+ Fame: Overlord / Overlady
⚔️ How to Reach 20,000 Fame
Amassing this much Fame requires hunting the deadliest creatures on the shard. Here are the best ways to reach the threshold:
- Hunt Bosses: Peerless bosses, Doom Gauntlet bosses (like the Dark Father), and Champion Spawns grant massive amounts of Fame.
- Mythic Encounters: Keep an eye out for Mythic Variants. If you manage to survive their enrage timers and minion swarms, the Fame reward is significant.
- Avoid Dying: The more Fame you have, the more you lose when you die. Attempting to reach 20k Fame means playing incredibly carefully around end-game content!
