The Echo of Mondain is a 6-part progression quest chain given by Inquisitor Zephyrus. The quest uncovers a plot by the Disciples of Minax to resurrect an imperfect phantom of the original dark wizard, Mondain, culminating in an epic boss battle.

📖 Overview

• Requirements: Soloable, but highly challenging (especially the final boss).
• Rewards: Up to 25,000 Gold total, and a Sealed Phylactery (summons the final boss).

🗺️ Quest Walkthrough

Part 1: Disturbed Graves

• Objective: Slay 20 Skeletons.
• Story: The cult requires massive amounts of raw bone dust for the ritual. Skeletons in the graveyards are being animated to harvest their own kind.
• Reward: 1,000 Gold

Part 2: Stealing Souls

• Objective: Slay 15 Wraiths.
• Story: The cult is harvesting the souls of the damned to power the resurrection.
• Reward: 2,000 Gold

Part 3: The Dark Masters

• Objective: Slay 10 Liches.
• Story: The ritual's coordinators are ancient Liches who served Mondain centuries ago.
• Reward: 3,000 Gold

Part 4: The Vanguard of Minax

• Objective: Slay 10 Shadow Knights.
• Story: Corrupted warriors known as Shadow Knights protect the outer perimeter of the ritual site.
• Reward: 4,000 Gold

Part 5: The Ritual of Bone

• Objective: Slay 5 Bone Demons.
• Story: Massive abominations of bone have been summoned to protect the inner sanctum as the ritual begins.
• Reward: 5,000 Gold

Part 6: Sealed Phylactery

• Objective: Slay 1 Lich (Final Test of Resolve)
• Story: The ritual was interrupted, but an imperfect phantom of Mondain was successfully fused into a phylactery. Zephyrus entrusts you to take it into the wilderness, shatter it, and destroy the Echo of Mondain.
• Reward: 10,000 Gold and the Sealed Phylactery

⚔️ The Final Battle: Mondain's Revenant

Upon double-clicking the Sealed Phylactery in a non-guarded, wilderness area, the phylactery will shatter and spawn Mondain's Revenant, a highly lethal magical boss.

⚙️ Mechanics

• Wither Aura: Periodically unleashes a massive wave of cold damage affecting everything within 4 tiles.
• Necromantic Arsenal: The boss utilizes advanced Necromancy and Magery AI, frequently casting Blood Oath to reflect melee damage.
• Summon Minions: At 50% and 25% health, the Revenant calls forth waves of Rotting Corpses to swarm attackers.

💎 Drops

In addition to standard SuperBoss loot and 2,500-4,000 Gold, Mondain's Revenant drops:

• 1-2 Mythic Cores (100% chance)
• A PowerScroll (10% chance) — intended as a 110-120 tier scroll, but a current shard bug in the drop code makes it come out as a 100-value scroll instead
• Random Doom Artifact (5% chance)
• Mondain's Shattered Skull (5% chance) - A unique custom Talisman granting SDI 10%, LMC 5%, FCR 1, and +10 Magery/Necromancy. When double-clicked, it whispers a dark quote from Mondain.
