Sosarian Coins are the premium currency used on the Age of Sosaria. Unlike standard gold, which is used for basic trading and NPC vendors, Sosarian Coins are used exclusively to purchase highly sought-after cosmetic rewards, ethereal mounts, unique dyes, and player convenience items.
The rewards vendor offers various items ranging from 1,000 Coins all the way up to 50,000 Coins for the most legendary artifacts.
This currency is designed to reward active players who participate in the server's economy, community, and end-game PvM content!
🎁 How to Obtain Sosarian Coins
There are many ways to acquire coins, ranging from passive daily tasks to extreme end-game hunting.
1. Daily Login Rewards (50 Coins)
The easiest way to build your fortune! Simply logging into the game with any character will automatically deposit 50 Sosarian Coins directly into your Coin Ledger (or your backpack if you do not have a ledger yet). This reward is restricted to once per day, per account.
2. Daily Quests (75 Coins)
The Adventurer's Guildmaster will offer you bounties to hunt down specific monsters. Completing these immersive daily quests drops 75 Sosarian Coins directly into your pack. You can complete up to 3 daily quests every day!
3. PvP Tournaments (Round-Scaled Coins)
Test your mettle against other players in the automated Gladiator Arena! Standard gold is worthless here—only true warriors earn Sosarian Coins:
- Losing a Match: You still get paid — 25 Sosarian Coins × the round number you were eliminated in (e.g. losing in round 3 pays 75 coins).
- Winning a Match (not the final): Nothing yet — the payout comes when you're eventually eliminated or you win the whole thing.
- Overall Tournament Champion: 25 Sosarian Coins × the final round number, plus a 150-coin bonus.
4. Mythic Boss Encounters (75 - 200 Coins)
Taking down the most dangerous creatures in Sosaria yields high rewards! Defeating Minor, Major, or Wilderness Mythic bosses will drop between 75 and 200 Sosarian Coins directly onto their corpse.
5. Champion Spawns (75 - 200 Coins)
Champion Spawns are some of the hardest group content in the realm. Upon defeating a Champion Boss (such as Neira, the Barracoon, or Semidar), between 75 and 200 Sosarian Coins will drop directly onto the Champion's corpse. Players must loot the corpse and divide the coins amongst their group!
6. Treasure Hunting (300 - 800 Coins)
The Cartography and Lockpicking professions are highly profitable! If you manage to survive the massive ambushes and successfully dig up the highest tier treasure maps, the sunken chests will contain massive coin payouts:
- Level 6 Maps (Ingeniously Drawn): 300 - 600 Sosarian Coins
- Level 7 Maps (Diabolically Drawn): 400 - 800 Sosarian Coins
7. Community & Support Tasks
You actively make the shard a better place by participating in the community!
- Voting: Using the Vote Stones in-game to vote for the server on tracking websites rewards you with coins.
- Cleaning Britannia: Using your trash bags to clean up discarded items around the world rewards you for keeping the server clean.
- Staff Events: GMs and Seers will frequently hand out coins as participation trophies or grand prizes during server-wide events and PvP tournaments.
🎒 The Coin Ledger
Because carrying thousands of physical coins in your backpack is heavy and takes up space, players are highly encouraged to use a Coin Ledger.
When you hold a Coin Ledger in your backpack, any Sosarian Coins you find, pick up, or earn via Daily Logins will be automatically magically deposited straight into the book! You can then extract checks from the book when you are ready to make a purchase at the reward vendor.
Known gap: Daily Login and Trash Bag rewards fall back to physical coins if you don't have a ledger — but quest, PvP, and Mythic-boss coin rewards currently do not have that fallback. If you're missing a ledger when one of those triggers, the coins are silently lost rather than dropped as physical currency. Keep a ledger in your pack at all times to be safe.
